The weird and wonderful family created by The New Yorker cartoonist Charles Addams comes to devilishly delightful life in a Broadway musical. THE ADDAMS FAMILY features an original story and is an Addams Family portrait you've never seen before: Gomez, all mad impetuosity; Morticia, equal parts fire and ice; Fester, restless and romantic; Pugsley, for whom immediate gratification can't come soon enough and Wednesday, eighteen years old and finally feeling what it means to be a woman. A family that's quite shockingly, and endearingly, just like yours.
This magnificently macabre new show is created by Jersey Boys authors Marshall Brickman & Rick Elice, Drama Desk-winning composer/lyricist Andrew Lippa (The Wild Party), choreographer Sergio Trujillo (Jersey Boys), and Olivier Award-winning director/designers Phelim McDermott & Julian Crouch (Shockheaded Peter), and features lighting by Tony Award-winning designer Natasha Katz (Aida), sound design by Acme Sound Partners (In the Heights) and puppetry by acclaimed Obie Award Winner Basil Twist (Arias With A Twist).
