The followings are the steps that you should follow when you want to make a projector stand by yourself.
The first thing that you should do is to prepare your work area. You should put newspaper on your work surface so that you will be able to clean the work area easily. Then, you can go to your projector to measure the front projector base dimensions that you will use for the stand. You can write the dimensions on a piece of paper.
The second thing that you should do is to put a particle board on the newspaper that you have prepared before. Then, you should draw a rectangle from the dimensions that you have got. But, you should draw the rectangle 5 inches longer and wider than the real measurements using a pencil. After that, you should cut the rectangle by using a hacksaw.
The third thing that you should do is to turn the particle board that you have cut over. Then, you should apply white glue to the edge of particle board before covering it with velvet. Wait three hours to allow the glue is totally dried. Then you should make it neat by cutting off the excess of velvet that you use from the sides of particle board. You can do it by using a razor blade. Then, turn it over.
Next, you should make a hole in the center of the board. You can use the flat-edged screwdriver to do it. You can do it by smoothing out the hole by making a rotation with the tip of the screwdriver. After the hole is perfectly made, you should apply white glue inside it. Place the insert nut into the hole. But, you have to make sure that the threaded side is facing up and hammer it. Allow the glue dry.
The fifth thing that you should do is to open the tripod’s legs and set it up. Find the place where you will place the projector. Then, you should find the screw at the top of the tripod and screw it into the insert nut in the particle board. After that, you can put your projector on the stand.
